On March 5-6, 2019, the 12th International Dairy Congress was held in Kyiv. 1200 participants, 750 representatives of 265 leading dairy farms in Ukraine, foreign experts, government officials, leading industry experts were present.

We couldn’t miss such an event, because this event is a large platform that brings together the authorities and manufactures and gives an opportunity to discuss important industry issues. The Representative of LLC “Moloko Vitchyzny” was Deputy General Director for Feeding, Comfort and Cultivation of Cattle – Rudenko Yuliya Yuriivna. During the first panel session “ Ukrainian dairy industry: challenges and strategies”, which united the authorities, milk producers and international experts, talked about the results of the dairy industry in 2018, key areas of development for 2019, transition to European milk quality and safety standards and state support for the industry and land market.

Also the participants of the 12th International Dairy Congress attended the veterinary forum, where experts from all over Ukraine talked about veterinary support of dairy cattle and specialized exhibition. Everyone was also impressed by the tasting of domestic dairy products “Taste Ukrainian”, where everybody was able to get acquainted with high quality Ukrainian cheese, yogurt and cottage cheese, etc.

The second day of the event was dedicated to technological and veterinary issues. In this section our Yuliya Rudenko made a presentation on the topic “Growing heifers from two to twelve months. Work experience of LLC “Moloko Vitchyzny”. The specialist shared the expecience of our company, pointed out mistakes and achievements, talked about changes in approaches, feeding and care schemes for heifers, drew up important and interesting conclusions that were helpful to listeners.
In addition, domestic and international experts shared their knowledge of the dairy industry’s challenges, how to respond to them, herd vaccination programs were also discussed, as well as aspects of cattle health. Equally interesting was the topic of effective management tools and process optimization on the dairy farm.
In this way we have contributed to this event, shared experiences and achievements and took a lot of important and interesting information that will be useful for the further work of our dairy farms. Such activities provide ample opportunity for development and self-improvement.
